Hello, I’m Vicky
The North East of England is my home, I was born here and raised in this small city on the coast, called Sunderland. And while this city has a bit of a negative reputation held by outsiders, those of us on the inside view it very differently. I consider it a place of understated natural beauty, incredibly rich history and culture and of course, legendary people who will fight for their city. Stick around as I attempt to dismantle the negative stigma against my hometown and show you what Mackem Life is really all about.
Here in Sunderland we are very lucky to be a part of the wider region of the North East, which includes the counties of Northumberland, County Durham, Tyne and Wear, and North Yorkshire. All of these regions have a place in Mackem Life and it will be my privilege to explore them all for you, and tell you where is worth a visit!
